Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests,

Dear Catherine House please share a prayer request personal or ministry related so that we can be in regular prayer for one another. Either send me the prayer request via e-mail or post it to the blog.

I am still waiting to hear back from some of you regarding what time 7am, 7pm, weekday, or weekend, would work for you in terms of getting together via on-line chat room.

Looking forward to your prayer requests.

From Br. Rick. I ask for your prayers for some friends:

For Stephanie Davis, who has recently been diagnosed with stage three metastatic breast cancer, that she may have healing and miracles and that she may find strength and increased faith instead of fear.

For Gerard Crawford, a disturbed young man who is the son of a colleague, that he may get the help he needs and come to know the Lord Jesus Christ.

For another colleague, John, who is plagued by anxiety and depression after falling from a ladder and injuring himself, that he may find renewed faith in him who strengthens us and that he may have peace.

And, finally, I ask your prayers for myself that I may have courage and strength to witness to my faith to unbelievers.

I ask for your prayers that I can get through three Holiday Dance Recitals and still be able to maintain my spiritual and personal life.

Also a prayer for Cheryl. She is a 58 year old woman with a history of severe addictions and extreme depression. I have done all I know how to do and it seems she is sinking lower everytime I see her.

I know Sundays are busy for everyone, but if you might pray for me on Saturday evening or Sunday morning? It is now invariable that I will enter a time of deep sadness as Sunday approaches, and getting in any frame of mind to preach and preside is becoming very, very difficult for me.

Please pray for the brothers of the Order of the Holy Cross, who have lost their Mount Calvary monastery in the fire at Santa Barbara and especially for Nick who is the prior. The 70 room house is a total loss with only the front doorway and the courtyard cross left standing. News reports are indicating that the fire was deliberately set about a mile away. The brothers themselves are safe, and are staying with the Holy Nativity sisters in Santa Barbara.

This week my thoughts and prayers are focused on the convention for the Diocese of Missouri.

I ask that we pray for peace. Not the peace for the world that beauty pageant contestants are always talking about, but personal peace. Personal peace for everyone, perhaps this will bring along the world.
